Because the fabric is firmer than jersey, a motif keeps its shape when worn. Even large prints barely distort, which matters especially for children's clothes with characters and animals.

When cutting, place large motifs deliberately. Lay the pattern pieces out first and shift them until the image sits centred on the front or back.

Handle the fabric like plain winter sweat: jersey needle, stretch stitch, wash before cutting. Press from the reverse so the print does not become shiny.

How do I combine printed winter sweat?

With solid sweat in a colour from the print. Sleeves, hood or yoke in a plain shade calm the overall look and let the motif work without becoming too much.

Does the print stay sharp in the wash?

With cool washing inside out, yes. Washing and drying too hot damages the print; it can turn dull or fade at the edges.

Is the fabric suitable for trousers?

Good for joggers and children's trousers. Just bear in mind that large motifs are often cut through on trouser legs – smaller patterns look calmer there.
