The motifs are licensed, which means the manufacturer has acquired the right to depict the characters. The fabric is sold for private use only; selling finished items commercially is not covered by that licence.

The prints are offered in several qualities, mostly as jersey or french terry for clothing and as cotton for cushions, bags and decoration. Which fabric type applies is stated with each article.

Because the characters have a fixed orientation, pay attention to direction when cutting: cut all pieces facing the same way, otherwise the motif on the back ends up upside down.

Good to know

May I sell clothes made from licensed fabrics?

No. The licence covers private use. Anyone wanting to sell finished items commercially needs their own agreement with the rights holder – that is not included when buying the fabric.

Which fabric types are available?

Mostly jersey and french terry for clothing, plus cotton for cushions, bags and decoration. The fabric type is stated with the article and determines which sewing pattern is suitable.

What should I consider when cutting?

The direction of the motifs. Characters have a top and a bottom, so all pieces must be cut facing the same way. Allow a little more fabric than usual for that.
