Kunstleder- und Weblabels

Faux leather labels look clear and modern and suit bags, rucksacks and denim. Woven labels are softer and sit more comfortably against the skin – which is why they usually go into clothing, often at the neck or in a side seam.

Attach them either all round close to the edge or on two sides only, so the label stands free. With faux leather: clips instead of pins and a longer stitch, as needle marks stay visible.

Labels caught in a seam look especially neat. Place the label folded edge inwards between two fabric layers and sew the seam over it.

For clothing meant to be sold, separate rules apply: care instructions and fibre content are required. A design label does not replace them.
