Emerald 267 is a deep, saturated green with a slightly blue undertone – strong but never loud. On the matte jersey surface the colour reads calm and dense, and it works just as well with warm natural shades as with dark basics.
The handle is soft and smooth, yet firmer than a light summer jersey. At 220 gsm Vanessa sits in the medium-weight range: opaque enough for dresses and still soft enough for baby bodysuits. The 5% elastane gives good recovery, so cuffs and knees keep their shape.
The fabric drapes fluidly but with a little body – gathers and folds stay soft instead of bulking up. At 155 cm wide, even wider garment pieces fit comfortably across a single width.

Is this jersey opaque enough for a dress?
Yes. At 220 gsm Vanessa is a medium-weight jersey and opaque enough for dresses and skirts. Very pale shades can be trickier, but this deep emerald covers particularly well.
How stretchy is the fabric?
The blend of 95% cotton and 5% elastane stretches mainly across the width and springs back well. That makes it suitable for close-fitting patterns such as fitted shirts and leggings.
Do I need to prewash before cutting?
Yes, we recommend a prewash at 30 °C. Residual shrinkage is 5%, which means five centimetres per metre – washing first keeps your finished garment true to size.
Does the colour match other fabrics in the range?
Emerald 267 runs in the same colour code and shade as the brushed sweat and the fine-rib ribbing. Shirt, cuffs and jacket can be combined without a visible colour difference.
