Altmint 265 is a muted, slightly greyed mint green – cool without being sharp, and calmer than a clear mint. On the smooth jersey surface the colour reads evenly and stays quiet even over large areas such as dresses or raglan tees.
At 220 g/m², Vanessa sits in the medium-weight range: the fabric feels substantial in the hand, drapes softly downwards and doesn't form stiff edges. The 5 % elastane gives stretch across the width with good recovery, so cuffs, sleeves and knees keep their shape.
The 95 % cotton content makes the surface pleasant against the skin – something that matters for children's clothes and close-fitting garments. The 155 cm width leaves room for wider pattern pieces. The fabric is certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100.

How stretchy is this fabric?
With 5 % elastane the jersey stretches mainly across the width and springs back into shape. That suits necklines, sleeves and leggings; lengthwise the stretch is noticeably less pronounced.
Does the jersey shrink when washed?
Residual shrinkage is stated at 5 %, so wash the fabric at 30 degrees before cutting. That way your finished garments keep the measurements you worked with on the pattern.
How do I care for this fabric?
Wash at 30 degrees, iron on a low setting, do not bleach and do not tumble dry. This keeps the colour and the elasticity of the cotton-elastane blend intact.
