Vanessa is Swafing's medium-weight basic jersey. At 220 g/m² it feels soft but never flimsy, drapes quietly on the body and is opaque enough for dresses. The 95% cotton gives a pleasantly dry, skin-friendly handle, while the 5% elastane adds recovery so necklines and knees keep their shape.

Yes. At 220 g/m² Vanessa counts as a medium-weight jersey and is opaque enough for dresses. With very pale underwear or a close fit it is still worth holding the fabric up to the light.
How do I care for this fabric?
Wash at 30 °C, do not bleach and do not tumble dry. Iron on a low setting, meaning the one-dot symbol. This keeps the colour saturated and the elastane springy over time.
Will it shrink in the wash?
Residual shrinkage is given as up to 5%. Wash the fabric once before cutting so your finished garment still fits after the first trip through the machine.
Does Ocker 315 match other fabrics with the same colour code?
