Beige 672 is a calm, slightly warm sand tone – neither too yellow nor too grey. It reads as a friendly natural beige and stays quiet even over large areas such as dresses, which makes it an easy partner for strong colours and printed fabrics.
The hand is soft and smooth. At 220 g/m² the jersey has some substance and drapes downwards quietly instead of standing away from the body. The 5% elastane gives good recovery: necklines and cuffs keep their shape, while knees and elbows stretch along. With a width of 155 cm there is plenty of room when laying out pattern pieces.
Certification to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 makes it suitable for garments worn straight against the skin, including babies and children.
What Vanessa Beige is suitable for
- Shirts, long sleeves and dresses, because at 220 g/m² the jersey is opaque enough for larger garments.
- Leggings and bike shorts, since 5% elastane provides stretch and recovery where fabric is put under strain.
- Baby bodysuits and children's clothing, thanks to the soft hand and Oeko-Tex certification for skin contact.
- Quiet basics alongside printed fabrics, as the solid Beige 672 stays understated.
- Sewing simple everyday pieces where a medium-weight knit is needed.

Frequently asked questions
Is this jersey opaque enough for a dress?
At 220 g/m² Vanessa is a medium-weight jersey and opaque enough for dresses and skirts. With very light shades it is still worth holding the fabric up to the light before cutting.
Do I need to prewash the fabric?
Yes. Residual shrinkage is 5%, so wash the fabric at 30 degrees and let it dry before cutting. That way your finished garment still fits after the first wash.
How is the fabric cared for?
Wash at 30 degrees, iron on a low setting, do not bleach and do not tumble dry. This keeps the colour and the elasticity of the cotton-elastane blend intact over many washes.
Does Beige 672 match other Swafing qualities?
The colour codes in this series run identically across French terry and brushed sweat. Beige 672 can therefore be combined for shirt and jacket in the same tone without any colour difference.
