Anthracite 790 is a deep, slightly smoky grey – dark enough to work as a basic shade, yet softer than black. It takes light quietly, so seams, cuffs and appliqués stay clearly visible on the surface.
At 220 g/m², Vanessa sits in the medium-weight range: the fabric has body, falls smoothly over the upper body and curls only moderately at the cut edge. The 5 % elastane gives it elastic recovery, so knees and elbows keep their shape, while the remaining 95 % cotton keeps the surface soft and breathable.
The 155 cm width leaves room for wider pattern pieces. The jersey is certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and can be washed at 30 degrees.

How much does the fabric stretch?
With 5 % elastane alongside 95 % cotton, the jersey stretches elastically and recovers well. The stronger stretch runs across the grain and should be placed around the body when sewing leggings.
Will it shrink in the wash?
Residual shrinkage is stated as 5 %. Wash the fabric once before cutting, using the same care as the finished garment will get later – that means a 30 degree wash.
How do I care for this jersey?
