At 220 gsm, Vanessa sits in the medium-weight range: firm enough to stay opaque, yet soft to the touch. The 6% elastane gives the knit clear crosswise stretch and helps cuffs and knees keep their shape. The fabric drapes softly and follows the body rather than standing away from it.

How much does the fabric shrink in the wash?
Residual shrinkage is 5 percent. Wash the fabric once before cutting, using the same care the finished garment will get later, so your measurements still match after the first laundry cycle.
How should the fabric be cared for?
Wash at 30 degrees, iron on a low setting, do not bleach and do not tumble dry. This keeps the colour saturated and preserves the elasticity of the jersey over many washes.
