Khaki 768 is a muted green with a soft grey-green cast – a calm shade that sits just as comfortably next to warm naturals as it does beside strong red or mustard. As a solid colour without any melange effect it reads clean and even, and it stays matt rather than shiny in the light.
Made from 95% cotton with 5% elastane, the jersey feels smooth and soft with a fine, close knit face. At 220 gsm it is a medium-weight jersey: it drapes softly along the body without sagging, and it is opaque enough for dresses. The elastane gives it recovery, so necklines and knees keep their shape.

Is this jersey opaque enough for a dress?
Yes. At 220 gsm Vanessa is a medium-weight jersey and Khaki 768 does not show through. Even on close-fitting styles worn over light underwear it stays nicely covering.
How much does the fabric stretch?
The 5% elastane gives it elastic stretch with good recovery. The stronger stretch runs across the width, so for leggings that direction should go around the body.
Will it shrink in the wash?
Residual shrinkage of up to 5% is possible. Wash the fabric once at 30 °C and let it dry before cutting, so the finished garment still fits after its first laundry cycle.
Is it suitable for baby clothes?
Yes. It is 95% cotton, certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and, at 220 gsm, soft enough for bodysuits, sleepsuits and little hats while still being hard-wearing.
