Apply it without steam, pressing firmly over a solid surface; baking paper between protects its face. Let everything cool afterwards, because warm adhesive holds nothing yet.
Across spots stretched heavily, or washed often, a narrow zigzag around its border pays off — stitching holds even once glue gives up. Wash inside out on a gentle cycle; faux leather plus coated cloth never survive iron heat.
