When choosing fabric, mind the drape. Loose designs depend on fabric that falls rather than stands away – viscose, muslin and soft sweat qualities usually suit better than firm wovens.

Paper patterns are traced or cut out. If you want to sew several sizes, trace them so the sheet survives for the next one.
