Description

Salmon is no cool pink but carries a clear orange share. On pale skin tones or natural fabrics it reads especially friendly.

Material is 100 % polyester, width measures 6 mm, sold from 0.2 metres. Satin weave means long yarn floats across the show side, hence that lustre. Care symbols exclude washing, ironing, bleach, tumble dryer. In return this ribbon barely creases, settling flat again soon after you unroll it. On paper, craft glue holds; on fabric, textile glue is better — though only a seam holds for good.

What Satinband 6mm Lachs is suitable for

  • Things for babies, because this shade reads soft rather than garish.
  • Fine bows, because 6 mm stays dainty.
  • Pairings with cream, because both are warm.

Frequently asked questions

Can I wash this ribbon?

Care symbols say no: no washing, no ironing, no bleach, no tumble dryer. So use it where your finished piece will not go into a machine, or unpick it beforehand.

Does this ribbon fray when cut?

A cut edge can work loose. Hold that end briefly to a flame, so it seals cleanly. On natural fibres use a narrow fold or a zigzag stitch across the edge instead.

Will this shade suit my fabric?

Hold your ribbon right against your fabric — screens show colour differently. On patterned cloth, pick up one of its smaller colours, so your ribbon reads as an addition rather than a break.

Can I glue this instead of sewing?

On paper or card, craft glue holds well. On fabric, textile glue is a better choice because it stays flexible. Over time, though, only a seam holds reliably through laundering.
