Gunold builds Bobby Syn as a pure bobbin thread: it runs in the bobbin case and nowhere else. Weight 100 is the sturdier of the two versions and holds tension reliably on dense designs. With this much on one spool, restocking stays a distant question. The thread is polyester and feeds calmly and evenly off the spool.

Which colour should the bobbin thread be?
White under pale fabrics, black under dark ones. At the edges of a design the bobbin thread always shimmers through a little; with the right colour that goes unnoticed, with the wrong one it shows at once.
Can I use ordinary embroidery thread in the bobbin?
It is possible but not sensible. Embroidery thread is thicker and builds bulk on the reverse. A design ripples, your machine pulls more thread than it needs, and the bobbin empties sooner than necessary.
How long does one spool last?
Very long. This large spool is built for continuous use and survives many projects. If you stitch regularly it saves the constant restocking of small spools and the retuning that comes with it.
