An eyelet protects wherever cord passes through cloth. Lacking one, that hole widens under every pull. This one is Eyelet in Black.
Fit it using a tool matching its size, working over a firm surface. Punch that hole rather than cutting one — scissors leave a border where cloth carries on tearing.
Inside thin fabric, reinforcement belongs behind: firm interfacing, or a doubled strip, spreads your pull across more surface. Its hole should match that neck exactly — too large turns along, too small bends while set.
What Schraubnieten Ø13 mm Nickel Schwarz is suitable for
- Drawstrings across hoods, gym bags plus waistbands.
- Curtains alongside room dividers hanging from a rail.
- Bags where cord should run through cloth.
Frequently asked questions
What do I need to fit these?
A tool matching that size, plus a firm surface beneath. Punch its hole rather than cutting one — scissors leave a ragged border where cloth carries on tearing later.
Will an eyelet hold inside thin cloth?
Only alongside reinforcement. Firm interfacing behind, or a doubled strip, spreads that pull. Left unreinforced, eyelets tear straight out under their first proper load.
How large should its hole be?
Exactly matching that eyelet's neck. Larger, everything sits loose, turning along; smaller, nothing passes through, bending while set. One test over scrap settles this quickly.
What suits eyelets?
Drawstrings across hoods, gym bags, trousers, alongside curtains, wherever cord runs through cloth without wearing it out. Each eyelet absorbs friction which fabric would otherwise carry.
