Brass eyelets with washers that bind a punched edge cleanly and do not corrode. Made in the size Ø 8 mm. Supplied as 66 pieces. Produced from brass, polypropylene.
Thin cloth needs a reinforcement underneath, or the eyelet will pull through the fabric over time. For belts, bag handles and labels they are the small piece of hardware that makes a homemade item look finished. An eyelet that still turns has had too little pressure and will come loose as soon as the fabric is pulled taut — set it more firmly straight away.

Frequently asked questions
How are they fitted?
Small sizes go on with a hammer and a base or with punch pliers, larger ones need the enclosed tool plus a hammer. Either way, put a solid base underneath, not a table top.
Which fabrics do they suit?
Firm wovens, leather, felt and tarpaulin hold on their own. Thin or stretchy cloth needs an interfacing underneath so the eyelet cannot migrate through. A strip of webbing or leather inside spreads the pull as well.
Do they rust?
The parts are brass and therefore rust-free. Even after several washes the surface stays as it was, as long as no scouring agent touches it.
Can an eyelet be removed again?
Hardly ever cleanly, because its rim is folded over. So test on a scrap before starting on the good piece. At worst, cut the piece of fabric out and set a patch beneath.
