About this range

Transferring a pattern onto fabric is the most tiresome part of hand embroidery and quilting: tracing, pouncing, redrawing — and in the end the line has to disappear again. This stabiliser removes the detour, because the pattern is printed straight onto it.

At 150 g/m² it is the heaviest of the water-soluble range. Peel the backing film away, press the printed sheet onto the fabric and work along the lines. After rinsing, neither stabiliser nor print remains.

It is supplied as sheets. Before the first print, check that your printer feeds sheets of this thickness, and peel the backing film off only shortly before sticking — left open, the adhesive surface collects dust.

Frequently asked questions

Which printer is suitable?

One that feeds sheets of this thickness reliably. Test with a single sheet before preparing a stack — a sheet that jams and creases can no longer be stuck down cleanly.

Why would I want a printed stabiliser?

For hand embroidery and quilting lines that are otherwise laborious to transfer. The pattern sits exactly where you stitch and vanishes completely when rinsed — no chalk and no marking pen involved.

When should I peel the backing film?

Only shortly before sticking. Exposed adhesive attracts dust and lint, and both weaken the grip in precisely the place where the sheet is meant to hold onto the fabric.
