Frequently asked questions
Which colour should it be?
White under pale fabrics, black under dark ones. At the edges of a design the bobbin thread always shows a little; with the right colour that goes unnoticed.
Can I use ordinary embroidery thread?
It is possible but not sensible. Embroidery thread is thicker and builds bulk on the reverse. The design ripples, and the bobbin empties sooner than necessary.
How do I set the bobbin tension?
Matched to this fine thread, so rather looser. It is right when the reverse shows roughly one third top thread and two thirds bobbin thread.
How long does one spool last?
A long time. Bobbin thread runs in every design, which is why it comes on large spools. Stitch regularly and it saves constant restocking of small amounts.
