Cord lasts only while its ends last. This one is Cord in Light Grey, 8 mm thick, made from 100 % cotton.
Secure both ends before cutting: synthetics over a flame briefly, cotton bound using thread, knotted, or fitted into a cord end. Otherwise everything unwinds while merely being threaded.
Through a channel it travels easiest carrying a safety pin at its tip. Thickness decides which eyelets, which stoppers suit — hold both together once beforehand.
Wash this cord within its garment. Cotton shrinks slightly at first, so one separate wash pays off before anything gets threaded.
What Kordelschnur gedreht Ø 8 mm Hellgrau is suitable for
- Hoods plus drawstring waists meant to pull closed.
- Gym bags alongside rucksacks, where cord doubles as a strap.
- Handles over packaging plus decoration wanting something solid.
Frequently asked questions
How do I stop cord unravelling?
Secure both ends before cutting: over a flame briefly on synthetics, or bind cotton using thread, knotting it, fitting a cord end. Left open, cord unwinds while merely being threaded.
How is cord threaded through a channel?
Using a safety pin, or a bodkin, fixed onto one end, pushing it along step by step. Across long channels, hold that other end, so your cord never disappears halfway.
May cord be washed?
Together within its garment, yes. Cotton cord shrinks slightly through a first wash — avoiding that, wash one length separately beforehand, letting it dry before threading.
What suits this cord?
Hoods, drawstring waists plus gym bags, alongside straps over bags, handles across packaging. Its thickness decides which eyelets, which stoppers fit — hold both together before threading anything.
