Cotton woven is the most versatile fabric in the range: firmly woven, stable and without stretch — the classic for blouses, shirts, skirts and patchwork. The fabric is 145 cm wide and weighs 110 g/m². It is made from 100 % cotton.
Green reads natural rather than technical. Beside wood, linen and earth shades the tone looks self-evident. A batik gradient differs slightly on every length — which is exactly the appeal of these fabrics. A universal needle and a straight stitch are all it takes — woven cotton needs no more.

How much fabric do I need?
That depends on the pattern, the fabric width and the print. Large motifs demand waste, since pieces have to be placed to match. On repeat prints allow half a metre more.
Does it suit patchwork?
Yes, woven cotton is the standard material for it. It cuts precisely, does not distort while sewing and presses flat — three qualities that matter in patchwork.
Does it suit children's clothes?
For shirts, skirts, dresses and trousers yes. For t-shirts and anything close-fitting a knit is the better choice, because it moves — a woven does not.
Do I have to pre-wash?
Yes. Cotton shrinks, by varying amounts depending on the finish. Wash the fabric the way you will wash the finished piece, press it, and only then cut.
