A label remains that piece telling anyone later something was sewn by hand. This one is Woven Label, 2,5 cm wide, made from 100 % polyurethane.
Attach it folded into a seam, or topstitched flat. Folded in, its cut edges vanish, never fraying; stitched flat, run close right around its border.
It sits well wherever anyone finds it again: centre back at a neckline, within a side seam, along a bag's outer border. Woven labels survive machine washing; faux leather prefers cool water.
What Weblabel "von Oma" is suitable for
- Handmade pieces wanting a mark of their own.
- Children's clothing, where a label helps sorting.
- Bags plus cushions carrying one visibly as decoration.
Frequently asked questions
How is a label attached?
Folded into a seam, or topstitched flat. Folded in, its cut edges disappear inside that seam, never fraying; stitched flat, run close around its border using matching thread.
Do labels fray at their edges?
Woven labels fray slightly wherever a cut stays open. Pass it over a flame briefly, or fold that edge into your seam — either takes a moment, lasting permanently.
Where does a label belong?
Somewhere findable again: centre back at a neckline, inside a side seam, along a bag's outer border. Placed visibly it reads as decoration, placed inside as marking.
Does it survive washing?
Woven labels handle machine washing well. Faux leather ones prefer cool water, avoiding a tumble dryer, because heat warps their surface, leaving it hard.
