Thin, transparent and tearable: Thermofilm is the topping for delicate fabrics worn against skin. One roll of 10 m, 25 cm wide — you cut it to hoop size. This version comes in Transparent.
Since nothing remains, it suits designs where both sides stay visible. Hoop taut but without pull: thin film tears at the clamp edges more easily than a stabiliser. If you embroider regularly, keeping one of the common sizes in stock pays off. Before the first design on a new fabric, a test piece with the same material pays off.

Sewing tips

Frequently asked questions
How do I remove the film?
Move a hot iron over the remnants in circles. The film dissolves and wipes away. No water is needed, and that is exactly the point.
Does it go over or under the fabric?
On top, as a topping. It holds the stitches at the surface rather than stabilising the fabric from below — that is a stabiliser's job.
Can I use offcuts?
Yes, for smaller designs. As long as the film stayed flat and uncreased, it behaves like fresh stock from the start of the roll. For test pieces they are the first choice anyway.
Does it suit sewing too?
As a sewing aid on fine fabrics yes, provided the material takes the ironing heat. For load-bearing seams it changes nothing — it only stabilises during the work.
