Instead of being rinsed out, Thermofilm is removed with a hot iron. Your fabric stays dry throughout. At 50 cm wide and 10 m on the roll there is material for several projects. This web is available in Transparent.
Check your ironing temperature on a scrap before removing it for the first time. Heat-soluble films are the special case among stabilisers: they disappear without water, which makes them the answer for anything that must not get wet. Before the first design on a new fabric, a test piece with the same material pays off.

Sewing tips

Frequently asked questions
How do I hoop it?
Together with your fabric, taut but without pulling. Thin film tears at clamp edges more easily than a stabiliser; a strip of paper as a buffer helps.
How do I store it?
Flat, dry and without creases. Creased film folds while hooping, and those folds show in the finished design. In its original tube it stays flat longest.
How thin is the film?
Very thin — it adds practically no bulk in a design. That is why it also suits fine fabrics where any extra material would show. In the finished design you notice nothing of it.
Can I see through it while stitching?
It is transparent, so marked lines stay visible. That makes aligning a design easier than with an opaque stabiliser. On lettering in particular that saves an alignment round.
