Where other stabilisers yield, Ultra Stable gives body — including as an interlining for fabric bags and textile decor. At 50 cm wide and 5 m on the roll there is material for several projects. 115 g/m² — the figure that tells you how much stability to expect.
Hoop stabiliser and fabric together — merely laying it underneath is not enough on stretch material. Cut-away stabilisers solve what tear-aways leave open: they stay in the piece and hold a design in shape even after the twentieth wash.

Frequently asked questions
Does it have to go into the hoop?
On knits absolutely. Laying it underneath is not enough, because the fabric then shifts against it and the design ends up distorted. On especially stretchy stock a spray adhesive that holds stabiliser to fabric helps as well.
Do I need spray adhesive?
On slippery and very stretchy fabrics it helps. Spray sparingly onto the stabiliser, never onto the fabric, and let it flash off briefly before hooping.
How does it differ from a tear-away?
A tear-away is removed after stitching, a cut-away stays in the piece. That makes it the choice for anything that stretches or faces many washes.
How large should I cut it?
Slightly larger than your hoop so the web is clamped all round. Cut too close, it slips out of the clamp and then holds nothing.
