Description
Marking is one thing, removing the mark is another. This pen takes the second step off your hands: the line fades in air by itself, with no washing out and no ironing. That helps wherever water leaves rings or heat would harm the fabric — on silk, on coated cloth, or on anything you would rather not wash again. The pen draws in Purple and carries two tips, one fine and one broader. The fine tip suits notches, the broad one lines you want to see from across the table.
What Fading Fabric Marker in Purple is suitable for
- Marks while cutting out
- Darts and notches
- Drawing quilting lines
- Marking on delicate fabrics
Frequently asked questions
How long does the line last?
That depends on fabric, humidity and warmth. Think in hours rather than weeks. Work on promptly and do not mark ahead of yourself, or the line will be gone before you ever need it.
What if it fades too early?
Simply draw it again. Alternatively mark only just before the sewing step. For long projects a water soluble pen or tailors chalk is the more reliable choice.
Does it vanish from every fabric?
From most, yes. On very absorbent or pale natural fibres a shadow can remain. Always test first on a spot that will later be hidden or cut away.
May I iron over it?
Better not while the line is still visible. Heat can fix the dye and the mark then stays for good. Iron once the marking has disappeared on its own.
