Description
For darts, notches and quilting lines: the pen draws what the machine will follow. Made in the size 150 mm × 10 mm × 10 mm. Sold as a single item. The colour is Turquoise.
Before the first stroke, test on a hidden spot: every fabric takes markings differently. Quilters draw lines and grids first and simply follow them with the machine. Light cloth calls for a dark marking, dark cloth for a light one — which is why most sewing boxes hold two colours side by side. Prym has made sewing notions in Stolberg for generations.
What Prym marking pen in Turquoise is suitable for
- Transferring patterns onto fabric
- Positioning pockets and buttons
- Working with dark and light fabrics
Frequently asked questions
Does the marking come off again?
Depending on the type with water, with heat or by brushing out. The pack says which applies; a test on a hidden spot shows it within a minute on your own fabric.
Which fabrics does it suit?
Most wovens and knits. On very absorbent or coated goods every marking behaves differently, so a test on a scrap stays the safest route. On velvet and towelling it is better to mark on the reverse.
What works on dark fabrics?
A light marking — white chalk or a pen with a pale lead. On dark cloth any dark line disappears as soon as the fabric folds.
How long does a line stay visible?
Long enough for cutting and sewing, but not forever. If cut pieces lie around for weeks, redraw shortly before sewing. Light and warmth speed up fading, so keep pieces away from the window.
