Description
Anyone working with spray adhesive knows the problem: glue builds up on the needle, the needle goes blunt and starts pulling threads long before it is actually worn out. These needles carry a slippery coating that glue does not stick to. They come in size 75/11, four per pack, and are otherwise built like an ordinary universal needle. They are meant for embroidery backing, hook and loop tape, fleece and anything glued or fixed before sewing. They need no cleaning, because the adhesive finds nothing to hold on to.

Frequently asked questions
Why do I need an anti-glue needle?
For anything glued before sewing. Ordinary needles pick up the adhesive, turn sticky and pull threads. The coated surface stops anything building up in the first place.
What does the size mean?
It gives the needle diameter in two common systems. The larger the number, the thicker the needle. Thicker fabrics and denser layers need a higher size, thin fabrics a lower one.
Does the coating wear off?
It lasts a good while but wears like any needle. Once the thread hangs again or the needle clicks on entry, it is finished and no amount of cleaning will help.
Can I use them for ordinary seams?
Yes, they sew perfectly well without any glue involved. A universal needle is cheaper for that kind of work; the coating only pays off where adhesive is actually in play.
