Black is the darkest tone in the range. On light fabric your seam becomes a clear line, on dark cloth it vanishes. The cone holds 2700 m — with four threads running at once, an amount that lasts a while. Colour code . The cone is sold singly.
On edges that stay visible later it pays to run all four threads in the same colour. An overlock thread without a special purpose: it neatens jersey as readily as wovens and adds hardly any bulk to either. To top up this tone later, note the colour code with your project.

A little lower than for sewing thread, since this one is more softly twisted. Sew a test strip on the same fabric and adjust from there rather than working from a table.
What is a cone net for?
It sits over the cone and brakes the thread slightly. At speed that stops several layers coming loose at once and the thread catching under the cone.
Does it suit a coverstitch machine?
Yes. A coverstitch machine takes the same soft thread; only the tension has to match. On visible cover seams it pays to match the tone closely to your fabric.
How should I store the cones?
Upright, dry and out of the light. Because of their size cones usually stand in the open — a net or a box stops threads unwinding and tangling.
