Description
Film is waterproof and wipeable — meant for bags, pouches and anything allowed to get wet. At 135 cm wide its weight per square metre is 175 g/m². It is woven from 100 % polyurethane.
Transparent shows pattern and texture better than any dark tone — the fabric stays a quiet ground. A walking foot helps when layers slip against each other — with coated goods that is the rule. Fabric by the metre is cut in one piece; your ordered length arrives as a single cut. If unsure, order a little more — a later order may come from a different batch.

Frequently asked questions
Is the fabric breathable?
That depends on the finish. Softshell and membrane fabrics let moisture out from inside, simple coatings do not. For sport the product details are worth a look.
Is the finished piece waterproof?
The fabric is, the seams are not. Every needle makes holes. To sew genuinely watertight you seal the seams with tape or place them where water does not stand.
Do I have to finish the edges?
Usually not — fleece, softshell and boiled wool do not fray. On woven coated fabrics you do, since the backing loosens at the edge. When in doubt, a look at the cut edge after the first wash decides.
May the piece go in the dryer?
As a rule no. Heat harms the coating. The care label names exceptions; with some finishes low warmth even revives the water repellency. Hung up, these goods dry faster than most cottons anyway.
