Description

This viscose jersey is stretchy and soft at once — the combination that makes summer clothing comfortable. At 145 cm wide its weight per square metre is 210 g/m². It is woven from 5 % elastane and 95 % viscose.

Black makes pale patterns stand out particularly clearly — the greatest contrast there is. The dot pattern sits evenly spread; when cutting you therefore need not watch the repeat. The cut edge of jersey curls. That is no fault but the nature of the goods; you still finish the edge. Fabric by the metre is cut in one piece; your ordered length arrives as a single cut.

What Viskosejersey Abstrakt Striche und Punkte Rosa/Blau/Beige auf Schwarz is suitable for

Care instructions:

Frequently asked questions

Do I need matching cuffing?

For clean finishes at sleeve, hem and neck, yes. Cuffing is cut shorter than the circumference and sewn on stretched — which makes the finish hug rather than stand away.

May the fabric go in the dryer?

The care label decides. In principle knits shrink more in a dryer than on a line. If you plan to tumble dry, do it once before cutting.

Which stitch do I set?

A stretch stitch or a narrow zigzag, otherwise the seam bursts when stretched. If you have an overlocker, use it — it sews and finishes in one pass and is built for knits.

Which way does the fabric stretch?

Clearly across the web, barely along it. Align your pieces accordingly: whatever wraps the body runs crosswise. Confuse the two and you get a piece that will not move.
