Description
Knit fabric looks knitted and behaves that way: stretchy, soft and with visible stitch structure. The fabric is 150 cm wide and weighs 300 g/m². It is made from 66 % cotton, 22 % polyester and 12 % viscose.
Khaki/Melange reads natural rather than technical. Beside wood, linen and earth shades the tone looks self-evident. Its marled look comes from light and dark fibres and makes the surface livelier than a plain tone. While sewing it helps to work slowly and to hold layers with clips rather than pins.
What Mouliné Drogon von Swafing Khaki/Melange is suitable for
- soft toys and playthings
- costumes and occasion wear
- cushions and blankets
Care instructions:
Frequently asked questions
Is it suitable for children?
For soft toys, blankets and decor yes. For clothing it depends on the quality — anything that scratches or sheds does not belong straight against skin.
Can I combine different fabrics?
Yes, as long as care and stretch match. A firm special beside a soft knit needs a stay tape in the seam, otherwise the join pulls crooked.
Which needle do I need?
One that suits the thickness. On dense qualities one size up from usual, on fine meshes and tulle a fine needle, so no holes remain.
What do I watch for while sewing?
Calm and fixing. Thick or slippery goods shift; clips hold better than pins, and a walking foot helps with several layers. A test seam on a scrap answers stitch length and tension in two minutes.
