Wash at 30 degrees, keep it out of your tumble dryer — either would attack that pile. Skip your iron as well; steam from a distance is enough.

One point decides how corduroy turns out: lay every piece facing the same nap direction when you cut. Otherwise two trouser legs read as different shades later, although they came from one length.
