Grey-brown with no leaning — neither warm nor cool, which is exactly why it works so hard. Taupe carries any colour without raising its voice.
This pile is finely ribbed, soft to touch without turning velvety. At 320 g/m² your cloth is sturdy enough for trousers or jackets, while 5 % elastane lets it give crosswise, so it sits comfortably. Wash at 30 degrees, keep it out of your tumble dryer — either would attack that pile. Skip your iron as well; steam from a distance is enough.
One point decides how corduroy turns out: lay every piece facing the same nap direction when you cut. Otherwise two trouser legs read as different shades later, although they came from one length.

Do I need to watch the nap when cutting?
Yes, and with corduroy that is the main rule. Run your hand across it: one way feels smooth, the other rough. Lay every pattern piece facing the same way, or they will look different shades later.
How should I wash this corduroy?
At 30 degrees, no tumble dryer, otherwise the pile suffers. Wash it inside out so the surface rubs less. Hang your garment in shape to dry, after which it falls smooth again by itself.
Which needle, which foot?
A sturdier universal needle will do, no special needle required. Because the pile creeps under your foot, a walking foot helps, or simply less presser foot pressure. Sew slowly, then your layers will not shift against each other.
How much do I need for a pair of trousers?
For adult trousers, reckon roughly twice your leg length plus seam allowances; at 155 cm wide your leg pieces usually fit side by side. Remember that nap forces every piece to face one way.
