Description
This half-panama weave gives the fabric a slightly grainy surface and makes it tougher than a smooth woven. At 300 g/m² and 140 cm wide the fabric suits the usual paper patterns. It is made from 100 % polyester.
With Emerald you choose a colour that reads fresh in spring and muted in autumn. The floral print runs across the whole surface, so no pattern piece comes out empty. The cut edge frays; on home textiles that shows all the more, since seams often stay visible. If unsure, order a little more — a later order may come from a different batch.

Frequently asked questions
How do I press decor fabric?
At cotton temperature and slightly damp. Before cutting it pays off especially, since on home textiles the exact measurement decides the result. On coated goods leave the iron aside; smoothing by hand is enough there.
Can I combine it with cotton woven?
Yes, as long as the care matches. Different weights in one seam work; only the wash temperature follows the more delicate part. On cushion covers it pays to sew front and back from the same weight.
How much fabric do curtains take?
As a rule of thumb twice the window width, so folds can form. Add the length plus hems top and bottom. On patterned goods the repeat comes on top.
Do I need interfacing?
With decor fabric usually not — it holds shape by itself. For bag bases or storage baskets meant to stand upright, a reinforcement can still make sense.
