Description

On coated goods a patch is often the only repair that stays watertight. The stated size is 14 cm × 6.5 cm. Sold as 2 pieces. Produced from 100 % polyamide.

The spot must be clean, dry and free of grease — no adhesive layer holds on dusty fabric. Zips, piping and pockets then sit exactly where they were planned instead of wandering while sewing. A test on a scrap shows whether the fabric takes the bond and whether it still feels the same after washing. Prym has made sewing notions in Stolberg for generations.

What Prym adhesive patch 2 pieces 6,5 x 14 cm in Green is suitable for

  • Fixing instead of basting
  • Repairs to outdoor clothing
  • Hems without a seam

Frequently asked questions

Can I sew over it?

Yes, but residue collects on the needle. Sewing just beside the bonded spot means less cleaning and a more even stitch. A drop of machine oil on a cloth takes residue off the needle.

Can it be removed again?

Only with difficulty and rarely without a trace. So align before pressing: as long as nothing is pressed, much can still be shifted. Heat softens some bonds again, though rarely without any trace.

Which fabrics does it suit?

Wovens and knits, leather and coated fabrics. Very absorbent goods take up more, so apply sparingly there and allow longer drying. On velvet and fleece, keep the application to the reverse side.

Is it suitable for children's clothing?

Once dry there is nothing against it, unless the pack says otherwise. On babywear a seam still remains the more durable answer. As long as something still smells, it is not dry and does not belong on a child.
