Description

Adhesive patches close tears in jackets, tents and rainwear without a single stitch. It measures 14 cm × 6.5 cm. The pack holds 2 pieces. Produced from 100 % polyamide.

What stays put before sewing comes out straight: gluing and fixing replaces basting and holds even where pins would get in the way. A test on a scrap shows whether the fabric takes the bond and whether it still feels the same after washing. Sewing through an adhesive layer leaves residue on the needle; placing the seam just beside it saves the cleaning.

What Prym adhesive patch 2 pieces 6,5 x 14 cm in Wool White is suitable for

  • Fixing instead of basting
  • Inserting zips and piping
  • Repairs to outdoor clothing

Frequently asked questions

Can I sew over it?

Yes, but residue collects on the needle. Sewing just beside the bonded spot means less cleaning and a more even stitch. A drop of machine oil on a cloth takes residue off the needle.

Can it be removed again?

Only with difficulty and rarely without a trace. So align before pressing: as long as nothing is pressed, much can still be shifted. Heat softens some bonds again, though rarely without any trace.

How should it be stored?

Cool, dry and closed. Opened tubes and rolls last far longer when they are not left open in a warm sewing drawer. Tubes stored upright lose less and gum up at the cap less often.

Is it suitable for children's clothing?

Once dry there is nothing against it, unless the pack says otherwise. On babywear a seam still remains the more durable answer. As long as something still smells, it is not dry and does not belong on a child.
