On baby clothes, lingerie and sportswear, Tender Touch is the difference between wearable and scratchy. 5 m on the roll, 25 cm wide. For small hoops you cut it down accordingly. At 53 g/m² it stays thin enough for the needle to pass easily.
A test on a scrap pays off before pressing: every fabric takes a different temperature. Working with a new fabric for the first time, test on a scrap — including a wash test if the piece will be laundered often. Before the first design on a new fabric, a test piece with the same material pays off.

Sewing tips

Frequently asked questions
How long does the bond last?
Permanently, provided the temperature was right and the piece cooled before being moved. If a corner lifts, there was usually too little heat or too little pressure.
Do I need a pressing cloth?
It is the simplest insurance against adhesive on your sole plate. Baking paper does the same job and lets you see through it what is happening.
Can the bond be undone?
With permanent adhesives no. What is joined stays joined — so check the placement first and only then press. Temporary materials, by contrast, peel away. A test piece beforehand answers the question of placement.
Can I embroider over it?
Yes. Once pressed on, the surface behaves like the fabric itself. On very dense designs an additional stabiliser underneath can still make sense. A test piece quickly shows whether extra support is needed.
