Because Tender Touch is a soft knitted mesh, the fabric keeps its drape — the garment does not turn stiff from it. At 50 cm wide and 5 m on the roll there is material for several projects. 53 g/m² — the figure that tells you how much stability to expect.
Working over a large area, press from the middle outwards so no air is trapped. Iron-on materials take part of the hooping work off your hands: whatever already sticks to the fabric cannot shift while you stitch.

Sewing tips

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a pressing cloth?
It is the simplest insurance against adhesive on your sole plate. Baking paper does the same job and lets you see through it what is happening.
Where do bubbles under the surface come from?
Usually from sliding the iron instead of setting it down. Work from the middle outwards and let the iron rest briefly, then the air escapes to the edges.
Can I embroider over it?
Yes. Once pressed on, the surface behaves like the fabric itself. On very dense designs an additional stabiliser underneath can still make sense. A test piece quickly shows whether extra support is needed.
Do I need a heat press?
No, a household iron will do. A press works more evenly and faster, which tells on large areas — but it is not a requirement. Anyone working with it a lot notices the difference mainly in evenness.
