On baby clothes, lingerie and sportswear, Tender Touch is the difference between wearable and scratchy. One roll of 25 m, 50 cm wide — you cut it to hoop size. At 53 g/m² it stays thin enough for the needle to pass easily.
Let it cool briefly after pressing before moving the piece — while warm the bond does not hold yet. Once pressed on, work continues as normal — sewing, stitching, cutting. If you embroider regularly, keeping one of the common sizes in stock pays off. Before the first design on a new fabric, a test piece with the same material pays off.

Sewing tips
Available in more colours in the Sulky Tender Touch series.
Frequently asked questions
What temperature do I need?
Moderate heat without steam. The exact setting depends on your fabric rather than the material, which is why a test on a scrap belongs before the good piece meets the iron.
Can the bond be undone?
With permanent adhesives no. What is joined stays joined — so check the placement first and only then press. Temporary materials, by contrast, peel away. A test piece beforehand answers the question of placement.
How do I store the material?
Flat, dry and without creases. Creases in the coating show later on the fabric, and damp ages the adhesive layer prematurely. The roll is best stored flat in a cupboard rather than upright in a corner.
Do I have to sew as well?
On appliqué the bond holds on its own, but an edge stitch makes it considerably more durable — especially where a piece rubs while being worn.
