Description
A fusible interfacing gives fabric body where it would be too soft on its own. Made in the size 90 cm. The material is 100 % polyester.
Fusing works with pressure and time, not by gliding to and fro: the iron stays in one place until the layer bonds. On knits it keeps buttonholes and hems from moving along when the fabric gives. The rough, coated side faces the fabric; laying it the other way round means cleaning the iron afterwards. Prym has made sewing notions in Stolberg for generations.

Which side faces down?
The rough one with the adhesive dots faces the fabric. Laid the wrong way round, the layer ends up on the iron and needs a cleaning aid.
Which fabrics does it suit?
Wovens and knits, depending on the type. The pack names the match; a test on a scrap also shows how the fabric drapes afterwards. For knits, pick an interfacing that goes along with the stretch.
How much do I need?
As much as the reinforced pieces amount to, plus a little for tests. Buying tightly leaves you stranded at the second collar. Offcuts can still serve for buttonholes and belt loops.
Can it be removed again?
With heat, freshly fused pieces sometimes lift. After washing that hardly succeeds without damaging the main fabric. A scrap shows beforehand how the bond behaves in your own fabric.
