This sewing thread is made for seams meant to give rather than break. It measures Ø 0.5 mm × 20 m. The pack holds 20 m. Produced from 50 % elastane, 50 % polyamide.
The thread keeps what the pattern promises: for every seam there is a type that suits better than whatever sits on the machine right now. Store it dry and dark; light and warmth make elastane brittle over the years. Elastic material is not stretched while winding, or the finished seam will draw up later.

How do I wind elastic material?
By hand and without tension. Winding by machine inevitably stretches it, and the finished seam draws up later as soon as the tension relaxes. Counting while winding tells you later how far the supply will go.
How do I wash finished pieces?
According to the main fabric, but better not too hot. Heat is what troubles elastic material most, in the water as in the dryer. In a tumble dryer, elastic material ages faster than in any hand wash.
Does the colour have to match exactly?
On visible seams yes, on gathering underneath hardly at all. When in doubt pick the slightly darker tone, as it shows less than one too light.
How much do I need?
For gathering, considerably more than the finished length, because the material works within the stitch. Counting generously avoids joining mid-seam. A part-used remnant usually still covers cuffs on children's clothes.
