Description
This half-panama weave gives the fabric a slightly grainy surface and makes it tougher than a smooth woven. The fabric is 140 cm wide and weighs 205 g/m². It is made from 80 % cotton and 20 % polyester.
Beige belongs to the natural shades: warm, calm and so unobtrusive that the fabric suits almost any project. Its marled look comes from light and dark fibres and makes the surface livelier than a plain tone. The cut edge frays; on home textiles that shows all the more, since seams often stay visible.
What Decor Fabric Marled in Beige is suitable for
- table runners and cloths
- curtains and drapes
- wall hangings and decor

Frequently asked questions
How do I press decor fabric?
At cotton temperature and slightly damp. Before cutting it pays off especially, since on home textiles the exact measurement decides the result. On coated goods leave the iron aside; smoothing by hand is enough there.
Can I combine it with cotton woven?
Yes, as long as the care matches. Different weights in one seam work; only the wash temperature follows the more delicate part. On cushion covers it pays to sew front and back from the same weight.
How much fabric do curtains take?
As a rule of thumb twice the window width, so folds can form. Add the length plus hems top and bottom. On patterned goods the repeat comes on top.
Do I need interfacing?
With decor fabric usually not — it holds shape by itself. For bag bases or storage baskets meant to stand upright, a reinforcement can still make sense.
