Description
A beige ground with purple dots: this combination reads more muted than the other colourways, so it also suits leather and natural tones.
You receive one piece of 50 x 70 cm — no length off a roll but a firm area you can cut into straight away. Faux leather in 9 % polyester with 91 % polyvinyl chloride, 500 g/m². Washing, ironing, bleaching and tumble drying are ruled out by its care symbols; clean it damp. A cut edge never frays, so you can leave it raw — that saves seam allowance, making straps, tabs and appliqué especially quick.
What Faux Leather Cut Piece 50 x 70 cm Beige/Purple is suitable for
- Bags beside natural fabrics, because beige bridges across.
- Key fobs, because even small offcuts still carry pattern.
- Pairings with plain purple, because those dots pick that up.
Care instructions:
Frequently asked questions
Can I work with pins?
Better not: every puncture stays visible. Use clips, wonder clips or narrow tape inside your seam allowance. If pins are unavoidable, place them only within that allowance, where nothing shows later on.
Does it stick to the presser foot?
That can happen, because its surface is smooth. A Teflon foot or a roller foot solves it at once. As a stopgap, lay tissue paper over your seam and tear it away carefully afterwards.
Do I need to finish the edges?
No. Faux leather does not fray, so a cut edge stays exactly as it is. That saves work, making this material handy for raw edges, straps and appliqué.
What does one piece cover?
For bag bases, flaps, handles, appliqué or purses this area serves well. For a whole bag, reckon on two pieces, since a cut piece and pattern pieces rarely line up without waste.
