Description
Blue brush dots sit on a pink ground. Warm meets cool, and because both tones stay mid-pale, that contrast reads lively rather than hard.
This cut piece measures 50 x 70 cm and arrives ready — you buy exactly the area you need instead of half a metre off a roll. Material is faux leather in 9 % polyester with 91 % polyvinyl chloride, weighing 500 g/m², so firm yet still supple enough for a domestic machine. Care symbols allow no washing, no ironing, no bleach, no tumble drying; wipe marks off damp. Sew with a universal needle, a longer stitch, no pins — holes stay visible in faux leather for good. Use clips or tape to hold your layers together instead.
What Faux Leather Cut Piece 50 x 70 cm Pink/Blue is suitable for
- Wash bags, because this colourway reads friendly.
- Bag flaps, because your pattern shows there in full.
- Pairings with plain blue, because those dots set that tone.
Care instructions:
Frequently asked questions
Does it stick to the presser foot?
That can happen, because its surface is smooth. A Teflon foot or a roller foot solves it at once. As a stopgap, lay tissue paper over your seam and tear it away carefully afterwards.
How do I clean a finished piece?
Wipe it damp; nothing more is intended. Washing machine, iron, bleach and tumble dryer are all ruled out by its care symbols. On bags that is rarely a drawback, since this surface takes up little anyway.
What does one piece cover?
For bag bases, flaps, handles, appliqué or purses this area serves well. For a whole bag, reckon on two pieces, since a cut piece and pattern pieces rarely line up without waste.
Can I work with pins?
Better not: every puncture stays visible. Use clips, wonder clips or narrow tape inside your seam allowance. If pins are unavoidable, place them only within that allowance, where nothing shows later on.
