Second quality means this fabric carries a flaw — a weaving fault, a printing mark, or a colour deviation. This piece runs Folie in Gold, 120 g/m², 20 % harz, 60 % polyester plus 20 % polyethylenterephthalat.
Cut around that spot. Spread everything out first, finding where it sits, then lay pattern pieces around: large ones across sound areas, small ones between.
Across anything built from smaller pieces, this works out almost always. Wanting one large uninterrupted piece, sound goods suit better. Washing, sewing plus care differ nowhere from that same fabric sold by metre.
What 50x70 cm Zuschnitt Glitzerfolie Gold is suitable for
- Bags plus children's clothing built from smaller pieces.
- Cushions alongside home textiles, where pieces may be laid freely.
- Test garments, before good cloth gets cut.
Frequently asked questions
What does second quality mean?
A flaw sits somewhere: a weaving fault, a printing mark, or a colour deviation. Across most projects you simply cut around whatever is affected, leaving everything else fully usable.
How should I cut it?
Spread everything out first, finding that spot, then lay your pattern pieces around it. Large pieces belong across sound areas, while small ones nearly always fit between.
May second quality be returned?
Over that flaw itself, no — it remains why this fabric sells as second choice. Everything else applies as usual; unsure, ask about its condition before ordering.
Is second quality worthwhile?
Across anything built from smaller pieces, almost always: bags, children's clothing, cushions, test garments. Wanting one large uninterrupted piece, sound goods suit better.
