Felt has no grain and does not fray: it cuts in any direction and the edge stays closed. At 620 g/m² and 100 cm wide the fabric suits the usual paper patterns. It is made from 100 % polyester.
With Yellow you get a tone that carries children's clothes as readily as a summer blouse. Press from the reverse and at moderate heat; otherwise the pile flattens and stays that way. Before cutting, a look at the care symbols on the article pays off. Fabric by the metre is cut in one piece; your ordered length arrives as a single cut.

Frequently asked questions
Can I wash it?
The care label on the article says. This group ranges from washable to dry-clean only — there is no blanket answer. When in doubt, test on a scrap before the finished piece gets wet.
How much fabric do I need?
With pile, more than the pattern states: since all pieces must lie the same way, waste arises. Allow extra when the web is narrow. On a narrow web it pays to plan the cutting layout on paper first.
What do I do with offcuts?
Keep them — especially in this group. Small pieces become appliqué, ears for soft toys, coasters or inserts, and the edge need not even be finished.
Does the fabric fray?
Most qualities in this group do not — felt, fleece, boiled wool and tulle keep their edge. With woven specials such as lace or sequin fabric it is different.
