Description

Little foxes and hares leap between delicate fir trees across a light beige ground, with hedgehogs and dots in between. The main motif of the series, especially lovely for babies and young children.

All three designs of this series share one palette of natural white, mint, beige and coral, so they fit together in any combination. The French terry is knitted from 95 % cotton with 5 % elastane, smooth outside with loops inside. 250 g/m² makes it substantial and stable. On 145 cm of width an adult jumper can be cut too.

Combinations of two or three designs within one garment look most harmonious.

What French Terry Waldfreunde Foxes and Hares on Beige by Swafing by Sabine Marschall is suitable for

Frequently asked questions

How do I combine the three designs?

A proven approach is a calm design for large areas and the animal motif as an eye-catcher, for instance on the front or hood. Stripes suit sleeves and cuff areas, while dots work well for linings and pockets.

How do I sew French terry?

With an overlocker or elastic stitch and a jersey needle, so seams stay stretchy. Topstitch hems and cuffs with a twin needle or coverstitch. Guide the fabric while sewing rather than pulling it.

How do I care for this fabric?

Wash inside out at 30 degrees, do not bleach and do not tumble dry. Let it dry flat. Iron at most on a low setting from the reverse, which keeps print and loops looking good.

Is it brushed inside?

No, small loops sit inside rather than fluff. That makes this summer sweat airier than brushed sweat and pleasant all year, from spring into a mild winter.
