Description

Deer with fawns, foxes, wild boar, raccoons, hares and an owl gather among trees, mushrooms and berries. Warm orange and brown tones meet green and petrol on a light beige ground.

Soft, stretchy and pleasant on skin: at 210 g/m² with 95 % cotton, this jersey is a dependable everyday fabric for children’s clothing. Its 5 % elastane makes knees, elbows and necklines spring back into shape after wear. The motif is finely drawn and works on sleeves too. 145 cm of width fits several children’s pieces side by side.

Both Forest Animals designs combine well within one outfit.

Frequently asked questions

How do I sew cotton jersey?

Use a jersey or stretch needle and an elastic stitch – an overlocker is ideal. Guide the fabric rather than pulling it, otherwise seams turn wavy. Hems work well with a twin needle.

Does the jersey shrink?

Cotton can shrink slightly in its first wash. So wash it once at 30 degrees and let it dry before cutting. After that its measurements stay stable and your pattern fits.

How do I care for the print?

Wash inside out at 30 degrees, do not bleach and do not tumble dry. Dry flat or on a line. That keeps the print bright and the jersey in shape for a long time.

Which cuffs go with it?

Plain cuffing in a shade from the motif, for example natural, rust or petrol. Cut cuffs roughly ten per cent shorter than the opening so they sit nicely.
