Functional jersey is built for movement: highly elastic, stable in shape and quick-drying. At 250 g/m² and 150 cm wide the fabric suits the usual paper patterns. It is made from 22 % elastane and 78 % polyester.
With Burgundy you get depth. Even small areas read stronger in it than their size suggests. With cuffing in a matching tone you finish sleeves, hem and neckline cleanly. Before cutting, a look at the care symbols on the article pays off. Fabric by the metre is cut in one piece; your ordered length arrives as a single cut.

Frequently asked questions
Which way does the fabric stretch?
Clearly across the web, barely along it. Align your pieces accordingly: whatever wraps the body runs crosswise. Confuse the two and you get a piece that will not move.
Do I need matching cuffing?
For clean finishes at sleeve, hem and neck, yes. Cuffing is cut shorter than the circumference and sewn on stretched — which makes the finish hug rather than stand away.
May the fabric go in the dryer?
The care label decides. In principle knits shrink more in a dryer than on a line. If you plan to tumble dry, do it once before cutting.
Which stitch do I set?
A stretch stitch or a narrow zigzag, otherwise the seam bursts when stretched. If you have an overlocker, use it — it sews and finishes in one pass and is built for knits.
