Description
An open cord end frays after a few washes and slips back into the channel easily. A metal cord end solves both: it finishes the cord neatly and is too thick to slip through the eyelet.
This cord end is two-part with a locking piece and fits round cords of Ø 6 mm, as used on hoodies, joggers and drawstring bags. The nickel-plated finish looks understated and matches silver eyelets.
How to fit it: trim the cord to length, secure the end with a little fabric glue or a piece of heat-shrink tubing, push it into the sleeve and lock it with the second part. Each cord needs two, one for each end.

Which cord fits?
Round cords of Ø 6 mm, as typically used on hoodies and joggers. Thinner cords sit too loosely in the sleeve and may slip out, while thicker cords cannot be pushed into the sleeve at all.
How many cord ends do I need?
Each cord needs two of them, one for each end. The cord ends are sold individually, so you order exactly the quantity you need and are not left with a half-used pack.
Does the cord end survive the washing machine?
Yes, as long as the cord end was secured with fabric glue or heat-shrink tubing first and the locking piece is engaged. Ideally wash the garment inside out.
When do I attach the cord end?
At the very end, once the cord has been threaded through the channel and the length is right. With the cord end fitted, the cord will no longer pass through the eyelet, so you would have to remove it again.
